Day Heli Skiing - The Experience
The opportunity to go heli skiing/boarding has never been so easy!
The Experience is a single day option ideal for people who want to try this sport for the first time. A relaxed pace to the day allows you to discover just how fantastic heli skiing really is. Experience your first helicopter flight, unbelievable vistas, legendary powder, and the thrill of skiing untouched terrain. This program runs out of our base at the Coast Hillcrest Hotel. We use the Bell 205 helicopter which accommodates up to 10 skiers and 2 guides.
Available Wednesday to Saturday starting December 14, 2011 until April 14, 2012.
Package Includes
- Three runs
- Full buffet breakfast, gourmet mountain lunch and après ski snacks
- Powder ski or snowboard rental
- Avalanche beacon rental and related safety gear
- Backcountry safety briefing and beacon training
Price: $747.00 plus tax per person
Additional runs can be purchased on site at a cost of $58.93 plus tax per run (group consensus required).
Your Day
At 7:30 am, day skiers need to register at Guest Services, located on the lower level of the Hillcrest Hotel to fill out waivers and check in with our ski technicians for high performance rentals. Your morning also includes breakfast and safety training prior to boarding the helicopter. We break up the ski day with a delicious lunch in the mountains and continue skiing until it is time to enjoy après snacks and beverages back at the Hillcrest Hotel.
- Snowboarders should bring their own bindings if using one of our high performance powder boards.
- Day skiers are welcome to check-in before 6:30 pm the evening prior to their trip to set up ski gear and sign a waiver.
