Classic Package Itinerary
Your heli ski package will begin Saturday evening at the Coast Hillcrest Hotel with an orientation at 6:30pm followed by dinner (3 day packages might also begin with arrival on Wednesday). You should try and check in with us at our Retail Shop, on the lower floor of the hotel, by 5:00pm if possible. At this time, you may bring your ski boots along and get your skis set up, which will save time the following morning. At the orientation, we will introduce ourselves & explain what time we want you to meet us in the morning, what a typical day of heli-skiing involves, as well as a weather forecast along with snow and ski conditions.
6:30am Optional stretch class in the Mount Revelstoke Room, located on the 2nd floor of the Hillcrest Hotel. 7:00am - 8:15am Full buffet breakfast in the Mountain Guides Lounge, located on the main floor, just off the lobby of the Hillcrest Hotel. 8:15am Meet your guide in the Retail Shop to begin the safety briefing. Be fully suited up and ready to go outside (winter boots required). 8:30am - 9:45am Your guide will lead you through a safety exercise before meeting the helicopter for a orientation of the machine. Once training is complete, you will return to the hotel to finalize what you need for the day and make sure you have all gear (including ski/snowboard boots). 10:00am - 10:15am Lift for your first run. Skiing until lunch. 12:30pm - 1:00pm Lunch in the mountains. 1:00pm onwards Continue skiing. 3:00pm - 4:00pm Return to the Hillcrest Hotel for après-ski snacks and beverages. Dinner Time Dinner time will be posted daily in the lower level of the Hillcrest Hotel, right outside the Retail Shop. On the following days of your package, buffet breakfast starts at 7am in the Hillcrest dining room. Be sure to meet your guide all geared up by the front doors in the lobby at 8:15am unless otherwise directed. Then it’s time to head out again and again!
Getting to the Hillcrest Hotel
The main base for Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing is the Hillcrest Hotel, located just off the Trans Canada Highway, 7 kilometers east of the main turnoff into Revelstoke. If driving from the east you will see the large blue Hillcrest Hotel sign on the left hand side prior to reaching Revelstoke. If driving from the west, keep driving past the turnoffs to get into Revelstoke and you will then see the sign on your right hand side. Take the turnoff road at this sign and it will lead you directly to the Hillcrest Hotel. Once you arrive at the Hillcrest, feel free to check out our retail shop located on the lower level.

Fitness & Ability
It is important to have good cardiovascular fitness in order to enjoy the demands of skiing powder for multiple days.
We recommend that you engage in some kind of exercise program for eight to ten weeks prior to your ski trip. The fitter you are, the better you will be able to overcome any skiing challenges and avoid injuries. Several full days of lift-serviced skiing or snowboarding are also a great way to get ready for your trip. We recommend that you use a pair of our high performance skis and boards suitable for the snow conditions.
