Eriks Suchovs, General Manager

Eriks grew up in Toronto to Latvian parents with a great skiing history. After spending time climbing and skiing in Banff, he got a business degree and moved to Revelstoke in 1981 to start a restaurant. He started guiding with Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing in 1983 and never left! After becoming a senior guide, with a change in ownership came a move to management. He still tries to get out skiing and guiding as much as he can. Eriks has two little ski monsters - Andreas, 10, and Chloe, 9 - who have been heli skiing since the age of four and will experience the new adventure of ski touring this winter. His other interests include sailing his boat in Deolation Sound, surfing with his kids in Tofino, and exploring the ocean and lakes with his zodiac while camping on the beach.
Favourite run: "Tangiers Glacier. Landing at 9300 feet beside the spire, skiing all the way to the true valley floor, picking up beside the creek, and checking the waters for trout. Its 1735 vertical meters, glacier views, and then mature old growth forest make it a true classic."
